Internet Explorer has a new bug that can allow someone to take over your entire PC so stop using it now!

There is an IE zero-day bug that is a very serious vulnerability. It is a remote code execution (RCE) issue. According to Microsoft, “the vulnerability could corrupt memory in such a way that an attacker could execute arbitrary code in the context of the current user.”

“An attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could gain the same user rights as the current user,” Microsoft said. “If the current user is logged on with administrative user rights, an attacker who successfully exploited the vulnerability could take control of an affected system. An attacker could then install programs; view, change, or delete data; or create new accounts with full user rights.”

The attacker would lure an Internet Explorer user to a malicious website, which is a rather very easy task that can be achieved by some of the following methods such as spam email, IM spam, search engine ads, malvertising campaigns, and others.

The easiest thing you can do to protect yourself is to download Chrome or Firefox or Opera or whatever modern browser you prefer. Any of them can import your previous bookmarks easily and you will be up and running in a safer browser within seconds. Internet Explorer is no longer a safe browser to us and this is just further proof of it
